Illumicrate launched their Afterlight subscription box in August 2021. It was originally a quarterly book box which included items, then a bi-monthly box with items, and then as of January 2024, it became a monthly, book-only one. As of that point in time, the boxes also started to have names. The books that are included are Adult Contemporary Romance books.
Note: In the first three years, Illumicrate offered the option of adding “add-on” books to some boxes.
