I love the title of Fairyloot‘s Young Adult book box of February 2023 so much! My favourite characters are always morally grey <3

About Fairyloot

Fairyloot is one of the best known UK book boxes that ship internationally. They offer two types of subscription plans: Young Adult (book box with goodies or book-only) and Adult (book-only). In most cases, their featured books are fantasy books. Next to their monthly subscription, they also have special edition boxes and exclusive editions.

The teaser

This is the info we received upfront:

This box is dedicated to the characters whose motives are questionable, but their goals are clear…and they will stop at nothing to reach them.

The goodies

This box contained multiple collectible items:

• A ceramic mug, inspired by From Blood and Ash and designed by @avendellart
• The next set of tarot cards, this one containing the Ace and the Two of Stars, inspired by Spice Road and as always illustrated by @arz28

Next to these, the following goodies were included in the box:

• A pencil case with a quote from These Violent Delights, designed by @chattynora

The book

The featured book of the month is City of Nightmares by Rebecca Schaeffer.

In this book, a cowardly girl finds herself at the centre of a conspiracy in a city where nightmares come to life.

The Fairyloot edition has an exclusive cover, digital sprayed edges, artwork on the endpapers, artwork on the hardcover, and is signed. It also comes with a letter from the author.
