Illumicrate‘s April 2023 pick is one of those books I would have never chosen myself. Quite often, this means that I will be blown away once I read it. Do you think that’ll be the case with this particular book?

Illumicrate is one of the best known UK book boxes that ship internationally. They offer both a full box and a book-only subscription, and the books they feature are generally YA fantasy, but they also include other genres and adult books. Next to their monthly subscription, they also have special edition boxes and exclusive editions.

The goodies
This box contained one collectible item, namely a sword replica, inspired by Throne of Glass (design by @stacey.mcevoy.caunt). It’s a replica of the Sword of Truth.
Next to these, the following goodies were included in the box:
- A pin banner, inspired by one of my all-time favourite series, The Farseer Trilogy (design by @niallcgrant)

The featured book of the month is Some Desperate Glory by Emily Tesh.
