The book
The featured book is Her Majesty’s Royal Coven by Juno Dawson. The Fairyloot exclusive edition has an exclusive cover, digitally sprayed edges, a design on the hardcover, and custom endpapers. Furthermore, it was signed by the author. You cannot see it on the picture, but the colours of this edition are truly magnificent! The dustjacket is almost fluorescent yellow and the hardcover itself is bright pink. Frankly: two colours I hate. But together, wow, they make a stunning pair! Moreover, I’ve never had a bright pink naked hardback. I would definitely recommend this edition!
This is the first part of an urban fantasy trilogy in which four young girls take an oath to join a secret government department, the Royal Coven. Decades later, we meet the four again and explore the different paths they’ve taken in life. It’s a story about gender, womanhood, and sisterhood.
Note: I started this book and can already say it looks very promising. Due to circumstance, I’m struggling with concentration at the moment, making it harder to read some books. Therefore, I have temporarily put this aside but I will definitely revisit because the first few chapters were very good!
